For instance, keep those floors clean, buy a doormat for the inside of your home, as well as the outside. I don't know about you, but my back splash and ceiling in the kitchen are full of grease from many nights of cooking. For about $14, you can purchase a splatter guard to put over your pans to avoid that mess.
How about keeping the kitchen more organized? That space on your counter for your knife block can be eliminated, purchase a magnetic strip and hang your knives off your wall. Dark spaces under your counter or cupboards, bring them to light! Purchase some inexpensive adhesive battery operated lights to illuminate dark spaces.
No money for an entire kitchen renovation? You can inexpensively give your old kitchen a more modern look by covering appliances in stainless steel colored adhesive paper.
I love those Swedish absorbent cloths that Grove sells, they can easily take the place of wasteful paper towels. You can reuse these towels 100 times before you have to throw them away!
